If you are using a UVd model and have already painted the maps in Mari or Substance Painter, then you should be all set.

In RenderMan, manifolds tell the renderer how to apply patterns on a surface, and several nodes control the placement and repetition of textures, but the main one we’re going to look at first is the PxrManifold2D.

Its primary job is to control the tiling, transformation, and randomization of textures and can be connected to a PxrTexture node, as seen in the example below.  Once set up, you will now be able to repeat the tiling, rotate and transform the texture, and apply random offsets/rotations to multiple pieces of geometry.

As mentioned above, several other texture manifolds ship with RenderMan, and we’ll cover each one in other lessons.
